My name is Karen Kissinger and I recently purchased Sonrisa Salon and Day Spa with my daughter Katie Kissinger Paulus. For the purpose of introduction here is a brief bio:

I have a BA and MA in Secondary Education and am a certified Life And Wellness Coach and Consultant. My daughter  Katie is the Creative Director of our company and is also an attorney. Our spa provides wellness and beauty services that are eco friendly, plant based  and healthy. Sonrisa offers Aveda products,  id Bare Minerals cosmetics and Eminence Organic Skin Care. I am dedicated to creating an environment  at Sonrisa that educates and inspires health, beauty and balance.

In countries and cultures around the world, from the Scottish highlands to the Arctic of the Inuit and the stupas of Tibet, stone cairns have served as directional markers. Because they so often point the way home, they represent safety, hope, and friendship.
My Wellness Coach and Mentor Dr. Michael Arlowski, CEO, Real Balance Global Wellness Services suggested to me to use Rock Cairns as a symbol for my work and sent me a photo of a perfectly balanced cairn pointing to the right path on a trail. I am grateful for the imagery and his coaching! He also suggested that write a blog about health and wellness for my clients, friends and wellness partners.
